The Old Town School of Folk Music teaches and celebrates music and cultural expressions rooted in the traditions of diverse American and global communities.

6-String Social: Songs of 1972 with Jim Stacho Friday, June 22, 6:30 PM It was 40 years ago, but we still love them. It's a specialty class, it's a song circle, it's a party. It's Friday nights at 6:30 PM at 909 W. Armitage Avenue. Each week a different teacher will bring in a handful of songs covering a theme, or an artist or a genre. The experience is open to all levels and all instruments, so bring your friends or family to just hang out and sing. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other players and folks who share your musical interests. On top of that, you go home with at least a dozen songs! Hey, just because it says 6-string doesn't mean you can't bring 4 or 8 or 12! Heck, just come and sing! All are welcome with a $5 admission. Take the Brown Line and things will be fine.
