Szold Music & Dance Hall Box Office: 773.728.6000 Tickets: $22 General Public, $20 Members Howe Gelb Howe Gelb has traveled many a long and dusty mile to get to his place of prominence as an elder statesman of freewheeling Americana and "Erosion Rock," a brand of music changing with the elements on a daily basis as nature intended, like giant sand, believing that continuous evolution should be a palpable element in music, as when when songs were first handed over again and again, before the frozen capture of a recording studio. This evening, Howe will play selections from his newest album released this November, The Coincindentalist. Jim White Jim White's live shows are a mesmerizing blend of Southern Gothic-inspired songs, anecdotal storytelling, and open conversation with the audience and band. A folk artist, songwriter, singer, guitarist, and harmonica player, White is an avid collaborator, having played with Aimee Mann, Bill Frisell, Joe Henry, Morcheeba, and many more.
