Szold Music & Dance Hall 4545 North Lincoln Avenue Box Office: 773.728.6000 Tickets: $10 Juvenato was formed in Chicago in 2005 by Colombian-born accordionist Hernan “Nancho” Caraballo. The band specializes in the “vallenato” style, which originated in the northern coastal regions of Colombia where farmers and cattle-drivers combined indigenous, Spanish, and African traditions to create this increasingly popular working-class musical form which now enjoys a wide international audience. The band features the conventional accordion, the percussive “gaja” and “guacharaca,” as well as bass, timbales, congas, and the guitar. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Juvenato/115151786941
